Creating your Own “Dream Life”

As I ran around a water park with my kids, it occurred to me that I am living my dream life. Sprinting thousands of stairs for hours, being present and in the moment, yelling with thrill and excitement as I plunged down slides into pools of water. It was the first time in a while that I had fun - like kid fun! I saw the world through a kid’s eyes, and it was awesome.

When I say “dream life,” I want to clarify that I am not talking about a perfect life. I am not falling into the fakebooking trend and pretending that nothing was amiss (we had fun moments and we had challenging moments.) Though the truth is, when you are having so much fun, it does kinda feel perfect!

In my mind, living the dream life is when you are fully present and in the moment. When you are aligned with your body and you feel powerful, strong and beautiful. When you fully experience joy and happiness. It doesn’t last forever, but it doesn’t have to. Because it is the harder times that actually make these sweet moments even sweeter. Our family has been through so much this year and our kids needed a break from grief, from the heaviness of life and that is exactly what this day was all about. This has been a challenging year for so many of us!

I challenge you to consider what your dream life is. Not the fantastical unrealistic one, but the one where you pause and live in the moment and truly enjoy all the gifts that you have despite all of the hard stuff.

And once you figure it out, it is time to take action towards creating it! I can help!
