Purpose Does Not Retire

This morning, I traveled to Sheba Hospital with my sister to do some bloodwork. Thank God, all is well!

We weren’t sure where the department was, but we noticed an information booth with older volunteers. After we explained where we needed to go, one of the volunteers offered to walk us there himself.

It was not around the corner. It was a good 10-minute walk.

As we walked, he asked us where we were from, chatted with us warmly, and wished us well.

And it really struck me. Here was this older gentleman, spending his morning helping people during vulnerable moments. Offering direction, warmth, and reassurance. And at the same time, he was getting in well over 10,000 steps a day, taking care of his own health and wellness.

It was such an important reminder that when we talk about “designing our lives,” we are not only talking about the busy building years. We are talking about all stages of life.

How do we want to spend our time?

Where do we want to give?

What kind of people do we want to become?

How can we create meaning in the season we are in? Every season!

That is why I love coaching.

Because coaching is not only about getting through today’s challenge. It is about getting clear on what matters, making intentional choices, and creating a life that feels aligned and meaningful.

At every age. In every season.

Don’t just move through life.

Design it.
