Increasing your Capacity

I have never been a morning person. I need a LOT of sleep to feel rested and energized. And after having my thyroid removed due to thyroid cancer, my energy levels are often not predictable. A well-rehearsed thought in my mind has been: “I’m tired. I have no energy.”

And while that may be true at times, I am choosing to step into a more energized, empowered version of myself. A version that moves forward even when that old story tries to hold me back.

So yesterday, after a long day, when my body felt drained and the familiar thought - "I have no energy" - popped into my mind, I paused. I rested. And then? I tackled my messy house.

I overcame. I pushed through. It was a small win, but also a powerful shift. A step toward silencing an old belief that has felt like home for too long.

Let me be clear: Listening to your body and honoring real rest is crucial. That is NOT what I’m talking about here. I’m talking about the thoughts that keep us small - the outdated, comfortable stories we tell ourselves that we’re fully capable of pushing past.

You can expand your capacity and step into what is possible. You just have to be ready to do it!
