Sitting With The Hard Moments

Life is feeling like a lot right now.
For so many reasons.
I have been here before and undoubtedly will find myself in this place again.
And yet…
I know this place.
I know that feeling overwhelmed does not mean something has gone wrong.
It does not mean I am failing or falling behind.
It means I am human.
It means something matters.
When life feels heavy, my instinct is often to want to fix it. To organize it. To push through and power on. But I have learned that hard seasons are not asking for productivity or solutions. They are asking for presence.
The work is not to solve my whole life.
The work is to stay.
To breathe.
To take the next small, honest step.
Some days that step looks like showing up.
Some days it looks like slowing down.
Some days it looks like letting something wait.
This moment will pass.
It always does.
Clarity returns.
Steadiness follows chaos.
Until then, I am practicing meeting this season with a little more softness and a little less urgency. Trusting that I do not need to rush myself out of discomfort in order to be okay.
If you are in a heavy season too, you are not alone.
You do not need to have it all figured out.
You only need to be where your feet are.
And if this resonates, I invite you to pause today and ask yourself one gentle question:
What would it look like to meet myself with a little more compassion right now?
